Fallin Off The Reel Vol 2 – Truth & Soul Singles CollectionVarious
LP (Item 472923) Truth & Soul, Early 70s/Early 2000s — Condition: New Copy
Heavy funk from two different decades – some real lost treasures from the 70s, stacked up here with some equally great work from recent years! The package is a massive second helping from the Truth & Soul family of labels – one that not only shows their continuing dedication to the best in deep funk, but also a recent turn towards older soul from the 70s – served up on a host of recent reissues that are really great! Most work here was only issued on 45s by the label – making the overstuffed collection a bargain at this price, especially given that some of the 45s aren't that easy to find of late. 2LP set is very different than the CD – with some songs that aren't on that format, and vice versa. It features 27 tracks that include the previously unreleased cuts "Odyssey Revised" by The Fabulous Three, "Untitled" by Funky Music Machine, "Sweet As Can Be" by The Evil Ds, and "Bumpy's Lament" by El Michels Affair – plus "Love Comes & Goes" and "My World" by Lee Fields, "Behind Blue Curtains" and "CREAM" by El Michels Affair, "An Earthquake's Coming" and "Is It Me You Really Love" by Black Velvet, "Just A Little While Longer" and "Gotta Clean Up The World (part 1)" by Funky Music Machine, "Nora Se Va" and "La Valla" by Bronx River Parkway, "I'm So Glad You're Mine" by Timothy McNealty, "These Moments" and "Money Is King" by The Expressions, "Call It Static" by Quincy Bright, "Feeling Good" by Bama & The Family, "So Glad" by The Evil Ds, and "Agua Con Sol" by Bronx River Parkway. © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc. | |||||
