Lush and lovely vocals from Italian singer Anna Maria Alberghetti – a great Capitol album that has her working with full backings from Nelson Riddle! The lyrics here are mostly in English, but Anna throws in a few Italian tunes – as was popular at the time, but often done with some of the male pisano singers. Riddle's arrangements have a fragile feel that matches Anna's vocals nicely – more in the late nite mode that he used with Sinatra, and not nearly as jazzy and swinging as his more famous arrangements from the time.
