Inner Circle
CD (Item 511065) Blue Note, 2002 — Condition: Used
Angular modernism from altoist Greg Osby – kind of a blend of the more soulful styles of his earlier Blue Note albums with some of the New Directions styles he's been exploring in recent years. Notable on the album are pianist Jason Moran and vibist Stefon Harris – both of whom really add a lot to the record, cutting out patterns of sound that remind us a lot of "new thing" work by Bobby Hutcherson and Andrew Hill, pushing Osby's horn into complicated lines of expression. Titles include "Equalatogram", "Diary Of The Same Dream", "Entruption", "Stride Logic", and "Sons Of The Confidential". © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc. | |||||
