LP, Vinyl record album

A strong second set from Musique – finally getting a chance to appear on their own albums, after the horror of the cover of their first one! The group's lost Jocelyn Brown by this time – but singers Denise Edwards, Mary Seymour, and Gina Taylor more than do a great job of holding onto the groove – and with added help from Patrick Adams, who helped make their first album so great, the tunes soar along at a level that's right up there with the best of the Prelude disco scene! The tracks are long, with lots of nice Adams touches, and the titles include "Glide", "Number One", and "Love Massage". (Cover has cut corners & some wear.)  © 1996-2014, Dusty Groove, Inc.

This album's a totally solid soul effort, with production by Arif Mardin that's right up there with his ... LP, Vinyl record album

A great album that's often overlooked amidst the flurry of early 70's releases on Curtom, but which stands as one of Mayfield's greatest from the 70s! In fact, we'd say that the album's one that we enjoy putting on more than most – because the songs are less familiar, and not nearly as ... LP, Vinyl record album

Arista, 1977. Very Good+
The second album by this legendary 70s funk combo – best known as Herbie Hancock's backing band, but sounding great here on their own. The album's much more of a solid soul effort than the first one – which was great, but felt more like Herbie had stepped out of the studio for a minute ... LP, Vinyl record album
