One of the coolest singles we've ever heard on the Timmion label – a romping bit of soul with a bit of strings in the mix! "Cold Game" has a core groove that definitely shows the presence of The Soul Investigators on the session – but its funky rhythms are also peppered with strings and fuller horns, used alongside Myron's great vocals – which themselves are overdubbed a bit, creating a really warm sort of sound that's totally great! The vibe's almost like The Winstons at their best – complete with cool guitar turning tricks underneath the horns, and a great organ solo near the end – and the cut on the flipside is equally great, a wicked blend of sweetness and funky undercurrents.
