One of the greatest groups to come out of the Chicago soul scene of the late 60s – and one of the hardest to find, as well! This album is classic stuff by The Artistics, with all the elements for a strong Chicago soul album: 1) great production (by Carl Davis) and arrangements (by Sonny Sanders); 2) lots of original material (written by the likes of Eugene Record, Floyd Smith, Marvin Smith, and others); and 3) a stellar blend of tracks, with a good mix of ballads and more uptempo soul numbers.
