LP (Item 577056) Brunswick, 1968 — Condition: New Copy

One of the greatest groups to come out of the Chicago soul scene of the late 60s – and one of the hardest to find, as well! This album is classic stuff by The Artistics, with all the elements for a strong Chicago soul album: 1) great production (by Carl Davis) and arrangements (by Sonny Sanders); 2) lots of original material (written by the likes of Eugene Record, Floyd Smith, Marvin Smith, and others); and 3) a stellar blend of tracks, with a good mix of ballads and more uptempo soul numbers. Titles include their hit "You Left Me", plus "The Other Side Of Sadness", "Fading Memories", "Man With Feeling", "Have No Pity", and "Ain't That The Way It Goes".  © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc.
