An 1 (with bonus tracks)
CD (Item 606110) Hot Shot (UK), 1977 — Condition: New Copy
Genius French punk/pop from Plastic Bertrand – one of the few French artists who made the late 70s scene sparkle with the same mix of grit and warmth as the best Parisian singers of the late 60s! There's a blend of raw guitars and straightforward rhythms here that almost takes us back to some of the best Jacques Dutronc groovers from the previous decade – with a similar blend of masculine charm and commentary on rock and roll! In fact, there might even be a link somewhere between the two that has Gary Glitter's music in the middle – as all three definitely have a way commenting on cock rock while still revelling in all its greatness. Titles include the classic "Ca Plane Pour Moi", plus "Naif Song", "Bambino", "Le Petit Tortillard", "Pognon Pognon", "Dance Dance", "Pogo Pogo", and "Wha Wha". CD features a remix and instrumental version of "Ca Plane Pour Moi". © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc. | |||||
