Goin' Back To Indiana/Lookin' Through The Windows (Japanese paper sleeve edition -- with bonus tracks)

Around March 5, 2010

Add Item to Want List
CD (Item 492779) 1972 -- Condition: New Copy

2 of the Jackson 5's lesser-selling albums -- but both pretty darn great! Goin Back To Indiana is the original soundtrack to the group's TV special -- and it's got some excellent numbers, plus a few odd tracks that are very nice. Bill Cosby, Rosey Grier, and Tommy Smothers all make a bit of a guest appearance on the record -- and it also includes hits like the tune "Goin Back To Indiana", plus versions of "I Want to Take You Higher", "Feelin Alright", "The Love You Save", and "Stand". Lookin Through The Windows shows that the group were really solidly working at the time -- and even though the record had no big hits, it's pretty darn great all the way through! The boys could really sing well at this point, and they're backed by nice arrangements by The Corporation, Willie Hutch, Johnny Bristol, and other Motown heavy-hitters. Titles include "I Can Only Give You Love", "E Ne Me Ne Mi Ne Moe", "Ain't Nothing Like The Real Thing", "Lookin Through The Windows", and "To Know". CD also includes 2 bonus cuts -- "Love Song" and "Who's Lovin You", recorded live in Gary, Indiana! (SHM CD pressing! Packaged with individual sleeves for each album -- kind of a double-paper sleeve set!)  © 1996-2010, Dusty Groove America, Inc.
