Fly Disco Fly
LP (Item 76336) Morningstar, 1976 — Condition: Used
A surprisingly great disco-knockoff session – a group with a tutke that rips off the hit "Fly Robin Fly", but which is actually a tight disco jazz ensemble – led by MPS keyboardist Dieter Reith! Reith plays Arp and Fender Rhodes on the set, and actually arranged and composed most of the tunes on the album – scoring them in a slick sort of disco soundtrack mode, going mostly for instrumental grooves that have some good funky jazz touches at the best points! Other players on the album include Sigi Schwab and Ack Van Rooyen – and titles include "Cycle Logical", "Power Sandwich", "Cryin Wind", "Chess Nuts", "Blackjack", and "Freaky". (Cover has some wear, a cut corner, a promo sticker, a bit of sticker residue, and a spot of tape with a small rip on the spine. Label has the remnants of a sticker.) © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc. | |||||
