A compelling album from this Japanese jazz vocalist – singer who's got a much deeper style than you'd guess from the image on the cover! At first look, the record seems as if it might be more of a jazz/club crossover, with a contemporary vibe – but the feel is very much in an older jazz vocal mode – with warm small combo backings that have a nice sort of 60s indie jazz swing – often used gently behind Hideko's deep-toned lead.
