File Under Sacred Music – Early Singles 1978 to 1981 (10 x 7" box set)
7-inch (Item 593329) Munster (Spain), Late 70s/Early 80s — Condition: New Copy
A sick set of early singles by The Cramps – the seediest, sultriest and one of the greatest groups ever to stomp outta the proto rock strata of the punk scene – an absolutely incredible 10 X 7" set of singles put together by the good ghouls at Munster Records! This box is a thing of beauty. First of all, it's got some of their greatest earlyish material, from the killer covers of classic and obscure pulp pop, to The Cramps' own creepy classics. Each single has a picture cover – replications of the original covers plus some new ones designed for this edition. It's also got a stamped envelope inside with a reproduction of the old Cramps business card and a stack of postcard photos. Sacred indeed! Titles include "Surfin Bird", "The Way I Walk", "Goo Goo Muck", "Human Fly", "TV Set", "The Mad Daddy", "She Said", "Rockin Bones", "Garbageman", "Domino", "Uraniam Rock", "Fever", "The Crusher", "Voodoo Idol" and more. (The box set is beautifully done – all pic sleeves and includes a sealed & stamped envelope with a reproduction of the old Cramps business card and a stack of postcard style vintage photos.) © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc. | |||||
