A Noite De Espantalho
CD (Item 619156) Continental/Discobertas (Brazil), 1974 — Condition: New Copy
A weird mix of folksy roots and more ambitious sounds – put together by Sergio Ricardo in the 70s, in one of his most compelling projects ever! Sergio handles lead vocals and instrumentation – but the set also features other vocal work from Alceu Valenca, Geraldo Azevedo, and others – who come into the mix with personalities all their own – and in ways that are very different than some of the more warmly collaborative vocal work of this nature at the time. The notes are in Portuguese, but from what we can tell the album is a soundtrack – ostensibly for a higher-concept sort of movie! Titles include "Noite De Maria", "Mutirao", "Festa Do Mutirao", "Meu Nome E Ze Do Cao", "Historia Que Se Conta", and "Pe Na Estrada". © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc. | ||||||
