Feels So Right/Love's Gone Wrong
7-inch (Item 614621) Cherries, 2012 — Condition: New Copy
A killer collaboration from two generations of Chicago soul – rhythms from contemporary beatmaker Cermakk, and vocals from Doug Shorts – a singer who's been working the Windy City since the late 60s – including stints in the groups Shades Of Brown and The Visitors! "Feels So Right" is more current than you might expect – with Shorts' vocals kind of percolated in the mix – but "Love's Gone Wrong" is a total killer – a really old school, deep soul tune on the vocal tip – but with this offbeat rumbling bassy bottom that's really wicked – and a smoking spare Miami-style organ line in the middle! (Limited to 300 copies!!) © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc. | |||||
