One of THE 80s groove classics – an excellent album that never gets old! The BB&Q Band had a tight outta site style that was the best small combo 80s version of 70s mainstream funk – sweetly jazzy, thanks to some really spacious production, and filled with lots of hard-stepping guitar, bass, and keyboard bits that propelled the tunes with snappingly catchy rhythms throughout. The group's classic cut "On The Beat" best sums up their appeal – as it's one of those post-disco tunes that gets back to basics, but still really moves the crowd out on the floor. It's got a very catchy hook, as do most of the cuts on the album – and titles include "Don't Say Goodbye", "Starlette", "Time For Love", and "I'll Cut You Loose"!  © 1996-2014, Dusty Groove, Inc.

Sweet club grooving from the legendary Freda Payne – a very different album than her initial hits for Holland-Dozier-Holland, and a set that has a mature mix of disco and modern soul! Production is by Tony Camillo and Frank Wilson – and the tracks are long and nicely stretched out ... LP, Vinyl record album

All the best elements for Lou's Capitol work are in place – arrangements by HB Barnum, production by David Axelrod, and a hip batch of pop tracks that really push Lou into a whole new dimension! Axelrod really knows how to bring up the bass in the arrangements, and create just the right ... LP, Vinyl record album
