Dinamo Twist (LP sleeve edition)
CD (Item 580048) Maya (Mexico), 1962 — Condition: New Copy
A madly grooving, wildly energetic early 60s effort from drummer Alvaro Lopez and his excellent group – taking on the twist style with feverish rhythms, a tight horn section, and wildly charismatic fun! We don't much about Alvaro and we know nothing about the other players, but we can say that this mix of instrumentals and vocal tunes as totally great – well produced in that the sound is great and you can hear every instrument in the mix, but smartly raw and immediate rather than polished up. Great stuff from the early 60s Mexican scene! Includes a totally killer cover of Mancini's "Peter Gun" plus "Dynamo", "El Gallo", "Ya Me Voy", "Lo Mejor", "Siboney", "La Adelita", "Otro Tequila", "Muchachos Grandes" and more. (Comes a great little LP style sleeve!) © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc. | |||||
