Serious Slammin (with bonus tracks)
CD (Item 606107) BMG/Big Break (UK), 1988 — Condition: New Copy
Some serious slammin from The Pointer Sisters – still going strong here, near the end of an amazing run of records done with producer Richard Perry! The late 80s vibe is definitely in place – as the beats are a lot more upfront than previously for the trio – a bumpin, thumping approach to the groove that really lives up to the title – and which serves to be a perfect way to emphasize the hook-heavy approach to soul that was always the Sisters' strongest suit. The album's filled with crossover gems – and titles include "Shut Up & Dance", "He Turned Me Out", "Flirtatious", "I'm In Love", "My Life (rmx)", "Pride", "I Will Be There", and "Moonlight Dancing". CD features 5 bonus tracks – including "Translation (rmx)", "I'm In Love (single)", "He Turned Me Out (ext radio)", "Be There (12" ext)", and "He Turned Me Out (ext dance mix)". © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc. | ||||||
