Gedawo (orig, Kiddid remix)
7-inch (Item 586310) Electric Cowbell, 2011 — Condition: New Copy
A nice little single from the Debo Band – the east coast's excellent ambassadors of Ethio jazz funk! "Gedawo" is a take on the 70s Ethio funk classic – fleshed out nicely by the expansive Debo Band, with some feverish lead and backing vocals, handclaps and other elements that give it really urgent, and classic Ethiopian funk inspiration. Where the A-side is faithful to the core style, the flipside Kiddid remix is fully modern and adventurous – a hazy, digital funk take on it that works really well! © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc. | |||||
