Acoustic duets between Larry Coryell and Philip Catherine – recorded with a style that's much more intimate and personal than some of the previous recordings by either player! Although Coryell first rose to fame at the end of the 60s with his fuzzy approach to jazz fusion, he's clearly mellowed here nicely with age – and has a nice sense of space and color, that's only further augmented by Catherine's always-great range of sounds and styles. Joachim Kuhn plays acoustic piano on one track, but all other information is from both players on 6 and 12 string acoustic guitars, plus a bit of work by Catherine on a fretless electric.
