CD (Item 511311) Warner/Friday Music, 1982 — Condition: New Copy

One of Sly's 80s comeback albums for Warner – the last in string of them – a leaner, cleaner and tighter grooving pop funk effort from Sylvester & co! Really, the biggest problem with the record is that Sly set the bar so high with his best work from the previous decade – the sound is tighter and a bit closer the some of leaner sounds coming from the P-Funk camp at Warner's around the same time. Players on the recorded include Paulinho De Costa and Bobby Lyle. Titles include "Who In the Funk Do You Think You Are", one of weirder covers of the Kinks' "You Really Got Me" you're likely to hear, "Sylvester", "We Can Do It", "L.O.V.I.N.U", "One Way", and "High, Y'All".  © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc.
