CD (Item 619321) Cometa (Spain), 1971 — Condition: New Copy

A groovy early 70s soundtrack by Gino Marinuzzi Jr – his work for the European television movie Servizio Dall'Oriente – and a surprisingly effective mix of Italian cinematic soundscapes with an Eastern mood! It kicks off with a lovely vocal tune, sung by Lara Saint Paul, which has a bit of an easy pop groove floating over Eastern exotica undercurrents – and that vibe holds up pretty strongly throughout. Marinuzzi manages to blend European soundtrack styles with strains of music from Malaysia, Singapore, China and Indonesia – without ever falling over into campy exotica – and it's mighty impressive! Includes "I Lost A World", "Giakarta", "Ritmico Rituale", "La Pagoda", "Brezza Di Mare", "Singapore", "Corrente Pigra", "Fuochi Cinesi", "Per lL Streade Di Pechino" and many more. 19 tracks in all. (Limited to 500 copies.)  © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc.
