Sunday In New York
LP (Item 80709) RCA, 1964 — Condition: Used
An excellent album of sweet and lovely piano tunes – composed and performed by Peter Nero, with a swinging jazzy sound that's very much in keeping with mid 60s Mancini! The theme alone is worth the price of admission – performed here with a nice strong lead piano, and jazzy orchestrations in the background – but the rest of the album's equally good, especially if you (like us) dig piano and strings sessions! Some of the best work that Nero ever recorded – with tracks that include "Sunday In New York", "Taxi", "Hello", "The Cookie Crumbles", "The Philosopher", and "On Frantic Fifth". (60s UK pressing – nice and heavy!) © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc. | |||||
