Radio Over Miles – A Live Tribute To The Music Of Radiohead & Miles Davis
CD (Item 604420) Katalyst, 2010 — Condition: New Copy
Killer Fender Rhodes – spun out over some wonderfully long tracks that really let Greg Spero stretch out and do his thing! The set's dedicated to Miles Davis and Radiohead – and you can definitely here plenty of the former in the mix – especially since trumpeter Corey Wilkes is part of the quartet, and really does a great job of matching Spero's fluid energy! The keyboards are sometimes sweet, sometimes quite fierce – in that hard-biting way that really recalls the best Miles electric modes, yet crafted here with a more spacious sound that's plenty soulful, and downright funk at times too! The rest of the group features bass and drums – and titles include "Jean Pierre", "Sly", "Exit Music For A Film", "Blue In Green", and "So What In Its Right Place". © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc. | |||||
