The Roots Of Dub from The Dub Master – the one-and-only King Tubby – heard here in one of a trio of crucial records he cut in the mid 70s – all of which really helped define the sound of dub at the time! The production is wonderful – and the album rumbles with floor-shaking bass, thunderous reverb drops, and chattering echo – nicing up the heavy-duty rhythms laid down by the Aggrovators, with results that still blow away most of the competition. Hail to the King! Titles include "Natty Dub", "Dub Magnificent", "A First Class Dub", "the Stepping Dub", "Rude Boy Dub", "Dub You Can Feel", and "Dread Locks Dub".  © 1996-2014, Dusty Groove, Inc.
