Cycle Savages
CD (Item 611678) AIP/Reel Time (UK), 1970 — Condition: New Copy
A killer biker soundtrack – with some great moments! Once again, the AIP method holds fast – take a bunch of studio musicians, form a bunch of "fake" little rock groups, and turn out a collection of instantly cooked tunes designed to capture the now sound of today! One of the groups on here sounds a heck of a lot like the Arrows – The Cyclemates, a group whose tracks are written by Jerry Styner, and feature some great guitars, tight drums, and a nice funky approach that's similar to Les Baxter's funky work. Another nice one is Orphan's Egg – who have a heavy guitar and sweet vocal approach. Titles include "Virgin's Vengeance" and "Theme From Cycle Savages" – both by the Cyclemates, and excellent funky instrumental soundtrack numbers – plus "Mourning Becomes Electra", "We Have Already Died", and "Falling" by Orphan's Egg; "Fantasy" and "Chained To Your Heart" by Boston Tea Party; and "Fly Superman Fly" by Randy Johnson. © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc. | |||||
