Killer stuff from this legendary Philly instrumental combo – and a lot harder to find in good shape than you might think from the number of copies that were sold in the 70s! Bobby Martin arranged almost every track – and the record's a great example of the kind of lean and mean Philly groove that he had going at the time, a groove that was hard to beat, and hard to copy without sounding silly and overblown. Includes classics like "K-Jee", "MFSB", "TLC", and "Let's Go Disco". (Cover has a bit of light wear and aging.)  © 1996-2014, Dusty Groove, Inc.

A smoother set than usual for Lee Dorsey – recorded with frequent partner Allen Toussaint, but done in a sweeter, more modern soul style that's a refreshing change from earlier years! Dionne Warwick's missing from the cover of this album, but the record still managed to be one of her biggest of the 60s – thanks to a near-classic selection of tunes, and sublime arrangements from the mighty Burt Bacharach! There's a confident, mature approach to the record that's arguably ... LP, Vinyl record album
