The rare solo outing from producer/engineer Terry Manning – later a renowned behind-the-scenes force – here with tripped out set of psychedelia and more straight forward, chugging bluesy rock! Manning sort of satirizes rock clichés here, be it pummeling and fuzzed out bluesy psychedelia or the proto rock slur of the Sun Records heavies of 15 years earlier – but there's also a storming, heavy and excitable approach that goes well beyond the seemingly jokey surface. A wild, enjoyable oddity.
