Gate Of Dreams
LP (Item 67023) Warner, 1977 — Condition: Used
A pretty ambitious album from easy arranger Claus Ogerman – a hell of a talent, and the man who provided backings for some of our favorite albums! The album's kind of a "jazz meets orchestra" affair – with solo work by Joe Sample, George Benson, David Sanborn, and Michael Brecker – sliding in and out of the lush string backings arranged by Ogerman – some of his best of the decade, with sweeping finish on the top, but a surprising degree of soul that bubbles forth as things move on. Tracks include "Night Will Fall", "A Sketch Of Eden", and "Time Passed Autumn", in 3 parts. (Cover has some discoloration from age, with a sticker and some pen on back.) © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc. | |||||
