CD (Item 599749) Sun Sound (Italy), Late 70s — Condition: New Copy

Overlooked dancefloor gems from the late 70s – not the overly-familiar disco that you might know from the generation, but some great album tracks that really got lost in the shuffle – hidden amidst records from bigger artists, and really great to rediscover all these many years later! The tracks have a really unified feel – rich, organic instrumentation that's definitely the best the disco generation had to offer – often a tight combo mixing it up with larger orchestrations, all in support of a soulful singer who really sends the whole track home! There's plenty of names here you'll already know, but the cuts are nice and fresh – plenty that haven't shown up on other reissues at all. Titles include "A Nice Feeling" by Caroline Crawford, "Let It Happen" by Demis Roussos, "Drifting" by Charles Earland, "You're The Best Girl In The World" by Johnnie Taylor, "Hey Baby" by Anthony White, "But What Is A Dream" by Bohannon, "Time For Pleasure" by LTD, "Adventure" by The Dells, "Use Your Imagination" by Kokomo, "Midnight Rhapsody" by William Goldstein & The Magic Disco Machine, "Sunshower" by Dr Buzzard's Savannah Band, "The More I Get To Know You (part 1)" by Five Special, and "My First Mistake" by The Chi-Lites.  © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc.
