A rare one from singer Maria Monti – a cool little batch of Italian avant folk from the singer and actress – with spacious, kind of eerily pastoral arrangements (if that's even possible. . .this comes close if not) by Alvin Curran and the players include soprano sax great Steve Lacy! The songs alternate between spare post-psych weirdness and some leftfield jazzier ones – and that's where Lacy comes in. Monti's vocals actually banter with Lacy's sax on some passages, which is pretty amazing! Titles include "Il Pavone", "Dove", "No No No No", "Lo Zoo", "Il Letargo", "I Camaleonti", "Aria, Terra, Acqua E Fuoco" and more.
