12-inch (Item 582422) Audika, Mid 80s — Condition: New Copy

An avant dancefloor work of genius by Arthur Russell – the frantically beat-heavy, sunny and psychedelic single "Let's Go Swimming" that's from 1986, but it's really a unique piece of work that exists out of place and time – here in 3 distinctive versions along with a previously unreleased Gem Spa Dub version of "Make 1,2"! "Let's Go Swimming" is peak creative moment for Arthur, an accessible dance track that sounds as brilliant today as ever. All 3 versions of the track are here: Arthur's own Gulf Stream Dub and Pupply Surf Dub – plus the Coastal Dub version mixed by Walter Gibbons. This great 2011 Audika release also includes the 11+ minute "Make 1, 2 (Gem Spa Dub)" – another great one with a bit of a jazzy future soul vibe to it.  © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc.
