Beats, Rhymes & Life – crucial aspects of Tribe Called Quest and hip hop in general – and the fourth album by the inimitable Tribe! After a couple or three years of down time following Midnight Marauders, the Tribe returned with this extra stripped down sound, collaborating with Jay Dee and the Ummah. Titles include "Jam", the r&b crossover ready "Stressed Out" feat Faith Evans, "Motivators", the great "Phony Rappers", and "Keep It Moving", "Word Play", "The Pressure", "Word Play" and much more. (Cover has a factory sticker, promo stamp & a partially unglued bottom seam. Vinyl has two pressing flaws that click on side 2, track 4 & side 3, track 3 – otherwise very clean!)  © 1996-2014, Dusty Groove, Inc.

A lot nicer than some of the other volumes – especially if you dig breakdance grooves! LP, Vinyl record album

Roy Ayers in a very Afro-styled mode – working here on his own after a famous collaboration with Fela Kuti – in a set that's filled with the same sort of hard-driving Afro-Funk grooves that you'd find in Fela's classic recordings! The songs are shorter than Fela's, and with more of Roy' ... LP, Vinyl record album
