Solo mandolin work by Hamilton De Holanda – played very much in the spare mode you might guess from the title – but often with a bit more dynamic energy than you might expect! Hamilton really has a great range of sound from his instrument – drawing on the Brazilian tradition of older bandolim work, but also bringing in some warmer, folksier overtones from the US as well – all recorded with great sound that really gets at the full depth of the instrument's sound. Titles include "Luiza", "Gratitude", "Beatriz", "Samba Do Sonho", "Passarim", "O Bem Do Mar", "Feitico Da Vila", and "Amor Saudade Amor". (Barcode has a cutout hole. Digipack has a spot of sticker residue.)  © 1996-2014, Dusty Groove, Inc.
