Nice early stuff from Sergio – also issued as the album Brazil 65 on Capitol! This obscure album by Sergio Mendes rarely turns up on vinyl, and it's a mixed bag of tracks that has some bossa piano trio stuff augmented by Bud Shank, plus some vocal cuts with Wanda De Sah, plus the occasional guitar playing of Rosinha De Valenca. The album was recorded in LA by Capitol, and has a bright West Coast 60's feel that brings out the best of Sergio's style. Tracks include "Muito A Vontade", "Reza", "Berimbau", and "Aquarius". (Cover has some wear, and splitting on the seams.)  © 1996-2014, Dusty Groove, Inc.
