CD (Item 606888) Aditi/Jazzman (UK), Late 70s — Condition: New Copy

They're not kidding about the title of this album – given that Owen Marshall's pictured in the nude on the back cover – in various photos that show him nakedly playing keyboard, flute, and working a tape machine – all to come up with the amazing sounds on the record! Many tracks feature these cool overdubs – really trippy electronics mixed with Fender Rhodes, alto sax, and flute – often just handled by Owen himself, with some occasional added percussion from other players – all in a blend that stretches from spiritual to spacey, always with a very hypnotic feel! The album's one of the most unique records to come from the American underground of the time – and is well worth all the attention it's been getting over the years – a rare set that's as fascinating from a conceptual standpoint as it is groovy from a musical one. Titles include "Planet Funk", "Peanut Butter Ice Cream Man", "Nana's Sleeping", "Ancient Astronauts", "Casa Del Soul", and "Winter Butterfly". CD features 2 bonus tracks from a single – "Evolve" and "Grunt Uh Uh Uh".  © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc.
