What's Happening
CD (Item 30204) Schema/Rearward (Italy), 1966 — Condition: New Copy
The rich warm tones of bassist Giorgio Azzolini head this classic Italian jazz session from the 60s, lovingly restored and packaged by the great Rearward label! Pianist Franco D'Andrea and drummer Franco Tonani join Azzolini for the session – and the trio have an approach that's clearly concerned with modernist approaches to jazz, but which also manages to still swing nicely on most cuts – a great balance that really shows the depth of Azzolini's approach to his music! Tracks include "Interplay", "What's Happening?", "Waiting For M", "Tension", and "We Mean The Blues". © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc. | |||||
