Buster Bee
CD (Item 588459) Sackville (Canada), 1978 — Condition: New Copy
A sharp late 70s duo session from Oliver Lake & Julius Hemphill – captured at Toronto's Eastern Sound in March of '78 – great material joint composed by the two and performed with muscular, tension and delicate melody. Hempill and Lake both play alto saxes on the great opening and closing tracks, with Lake on flute on some numbers and Hemphill switching to soprano in spots. Titles include "Buster Bee", "Vator", "Flesh Turns Chi", "A Stand", "S", and "Fertility". © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc. | |||||
