Dino Valente (plus bonus tracks)

Temporarily Out Of Stock

Add Item to Want List
CD (Item 366222) Epic/RPM (UK), 1968 — Condition: New Copy

The one-and-only album by San Francisco singer-songwriter Dino Valente – an enigmatic cat best known for penning the hippie anthem "Get Together" – and a much deeper and more adventurous writer then you'd know from that one ubiquitous song! Dino bridged the coffee shop folk scene with sprawling psychedelia on this album. He has the Tim Buckley kind of stream-of-conciousness restlessness, and the record's full of lovely acoustic guitar accompanied by unlikely horn and flute flourishes. Dino was hardly a singer – so the production hand of Bob Dylan knob twirler Bob Johnston couldn't be a better fit. Tracks include "Time", "Something New", "My Friend", "Listen To Me", "Me And My Uncle", "Children Of The Sun", "New Wind Blowing", "Everything Is Going To Be OK" and more, plus the bonus tracks "Shame On You Babe" and "Now And Now Only".  © 1996-2010, Dusty Groove America, Inc.
