One of the coolest graphic novels we've ever read – a new take on the Parker character by crime fiction writer Richard Stark – set to beautiful early 60s-styled graphics from Darwyn Cooke! We've loved Cooke's comics work for years, but he really outdoes himself here – moving into much more mature territory, and using his talent for drawing fast action and pretty women to great effect. The story's a real nail-biter – the kind that recalls some of Tarantino's best films – and Cooke's moody artwork goes perfectly with the tale, and actually seems to elevate it to an even higher level. Book is hardcover, done in a cool black, white, and blue wash ink style, and 152 pages.
