Not a live tour album from Sam Cooke – but a globally-themed batch of tunes that really helps show off his range as a singer! The set features tunes with titles that evoke a rich landscape of settings from around the world – and offer Sam a nice chance to change things up a bit from the usual – moving more into a mature vocal mode that's different than his more familiar soul singles! Glen Osser handled the arrangements, and the approach is similar to Sam's Hits Of The 50s record – in that it showcases a wider range of material that points the way to the huge pop potential Cooke could have had, if he hadn't left this planet so quickly.
