Jam Session With Feeling – Descargas Cubanas
CD (Item 601271) Maype, Early 60s — Condition: New Copy
Killer Cuban sounds from Cachao – a set that's definitely done with the "feeling" promised in the title! Jazz is at the core of the set – lots of great instrumental interplay between piano and percussion, tres and trumpet, and bass, of course – guiding the whole thing along strongly from the bottom, and really ensuring that the instrumental modes of the set keep on cooking throughout! There's really very little vocals, and the recording quality has a great sharp edge – way better than some of Cachao's bigger recordings from later years. Titles include "Marta", "La Floresta", "Juan Pescao", "Descarga General", "Y Tu Que Has Hecho", "El Nino Toca El Tres", "La Bayamesa", "A Buscar Camarones", and "Rendencion". © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc. | |||||
