Go Go Train Is Gonna Carry Me Away/Rolling Down The Tracks
7-inch (Item 468305) Timmion (Finland), 2007 — Condition: New Copy
A mighty funky little train – hardly the mainstream groove you might guess from the "go go" in the title, and more a gritty slow funk cut overall! There's some really messed up organ that sets the tone for the tune nicely – almost a bit spooky at points, kind of vamping and wailing along with the beats more than taking on a melody of its own – all to service Big Joe's equally messed-up vocals shouting over the top! The drums are great – totally hard and funky – and they really take the lead on the flipside, which is an instrumental take on side one! © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc. | |||||
