Lo Mejor De Bush Y Su Nuevo Sonido Canta Marcos Barraza
CD (Item 57502) Epoca/Salsa International, Mid 70s — Condition: New Copy
A nicely messed-up kind of record – the kind you only find when you push past the better-known sound of labels like Fania and Vaya in the 70s, and go for treasures on indie labels like this! Bush Y Su Nuevo Sonido is a young group, with a lot of 70s salsa energy – directed by percussionist Bush, and featuring lead vocals by Marcos Barraza – with other instrumentation that includes two trumpets, violin, and lots of percussion. The pianist is also playing a bit of electric keys – not Fender Rhodes, but some sort of other keyboard that makes for a nice bassy groove on the album's best tracks – very unusual, but we mean that in a good way! Titles include "Campesino Soy", "La Chola Caderona", "Viva Panama", "Salsa Al Pindin", "Ritmos De Antano", "Son De La Loma", "Moanga", "El 9 De Enero", and "Pueblo Nuevo". © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc. | |||||
