Cosmic soul from Dezaray Dawn – with spacey beats, bass and soul jazzy keys floating over it and kind of keeping it all moving in a hypnotic mode – but it's Dezaray's voice and resonant songwriting that makes this one a step deeper than a lot the stuff coming from broken beat/ future soul artists out there! To put it most simply, the songs are strong – Dezaray's sings in kind of a mellow, but wholly moving style that turns out the be the right vessel to drive the deeper soul vibe home – without obscuring the introspective, yet relatable lyricism. A really nice EP from Dezaray, standing out strongly in a fertile Atlanta scene, which isn't easy to do! EP includes "Chameleon", "Da Day", "Can't Look Down" and "Hide Away" and Crisis Situations remix of the title track.
