CD (Item 558485) Capitol (Japan), Late 60s — Condition: New Copy
A very groovy album by Laurindo Almeida – one with arrangements and production by Lex De Azevedo, who we have to assume is David Axelrod! The style of the album is very much in the spirit of Almeida's best 60s albums for Capitol – a mix of pop bossa and easy stylings, handled here with a floating groove that fits perfectly with his gentle work on the acoustic guitar. A few arrangements were done by Clare Fischer and Dick Grove – but from the sound of it, the real work was done by Lex!
