CD (Item 628138) Beats Galore, 2011 — Condition: New Copy
Massively funky grooves from Tony Ozier – a contemporary beatmaker, but one with a great ear for old school funk too! There's a bassy, bottom-heavy sound here that's almost a 21st Century update of Ohio grooves from the late 70s and early 80s – with lots of keyboards layered in alongside the basslines – all to make for a super-phat, ultra-moist sound when the beats come into the mix! Most of the album's instrumental – apart from the leadoff track – and there's a crispy indie vibe going on – one that reminds us of early releases from Zo or W Ellington Felton.
