Smooth mellow grooves, in the style that Eddie pioneered, and which he still did better than most. The album's a great batch of tracks with production by Leonard Caston, who also produced some of Eddie's earlier works, and the set's pretty darn great all the way through. With the cuts "Something Shady", "You Got It", "Intimate Friends", "Diamond Girl", and "California Woman". (Cover has light wear.)  © 1996-2014, Dusty Groove, Inc.

An incredible album – a landmark piece of funk that nobody should be without, funk fan or not! Aware, 1973. Near Mint- Gatefold
Quite possibly the most righteous work ever from The Counts – a move away from the heavier funk of their Westbound years, and a shift into some great jazz-based material! The vibe here draws heavily on the electric keyboard scene of the early 70s – with echoes of Lonnie Liston Smith's ... LP, Vinyl record album

Shaft's Big Score
MGM, 1972. Very Good+
After directing the first Shaft film, and letting Isaac Hayes have such a big hit with the music, Parks decided to handle the music for this sequel himself – and scored the whole thing with just as much skill as Hayes! The music is conducted by Dick Hazard, and produced by jazzman Tom ... LP, Vinyl record album
