CD (Item 567689) Biscoito Fino (Brazil), 2000 — Condition: New Copy
A very cool little album from Toquinho – the sort we haven't heard from him in years! The style here is very old school, and much more bossa combo than some of Toquinho's more intimate records – thanks to warm rhythms on many tracks, and the right use of samba and bossa-styled instrumentation on some of the best tracks – spare, but lively, and a perfect backdrop for the charm of Toquinho's aging vocals! Although we really love the singer's mellower moments, we also really like that he can step out a bit on a set like this. Titles include "Historia Da Corte", "Fado", "A Grande Viagem", "Tambor Cafuzo", "Negro Rei", "Lenda", "Pindorama Brasil", and "Outros Quinhentos". © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc. | |||||
