Three Ounces Of Love were a sweet female soul trio – made up of the Alexander sisters, and sounding a lot like some of the bigger Philly combos, like The Jones Girls or The Three Degrees. The group made a good choice not to go disco at a time when that seemed to be the natural route for so many female soul combos – and the sophisticated modern soul approach of this album stands strong over the years, and ranks right up there with the best work of The Jones Girls. Titles include "In The Middle Of The Feeling", "Bet You'll Come Running", "Star Love", "Today Will Soon Be Yesterday", and "Give Me Some Feeling". (Cover has some wear, a cutout notch, and initials in marker.)  © 1996-2014, Dusty Groove, Inc.

A tremendous solo outing from Cuba Gooding – a record that not only shows his strength as a lead singer away from The Main Ingredient – but one that also shows that he really knows how to groove as well! Motown, 1977. Very Good+
An excellent smooth soul groover from two of Motown's most-overlooked 70s stars! The whole album was produced and arranged by the ... LP, Vinyl record album

Further genius from James Brown at the start of the 70s – a record that's starting to show some of the more open-ended grooves he'd explore with the JBs on their own albums – longer, stretched-out tracks that are way more than simple funk and soul! There's a sense of freewheeling ... LP, Vinyl record album
