Mayday – 1966
CD (Item 512639) Corbett vs. Dempsey, 1966 — Condition: New Copy
Some of the earliest work ever recorded by Peter Brotzmann – a rare live performance from 1966! Broztmann plays both alto and baritone sax here – already blowing with the intensity of his Machine Gun years, but working in a more stripped down setting – a trio with Peter Kowald on bass and Pierre Courbois on drums – both of whom seem to be doing everything they can to keep up with Brotzmann's intensity! The CD's more of an EP than a full-length set – running for almost 12 minutes, and featuring two songs – "Intensity" and "Variability". © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc. | |||||
